The four teams in the men's A-division hockey league have been playing a game of leap frog the past two weeks.
With only a few games left before the playoffs, each game has been unpredictable.
Last week, the Midway Power/Grasshopper Pub Hitmen won a pair of games to move into first place. And this week, a pair of Hitmen defeats and two victories by the Inlet Raiders moved the Raiders back into first.
The Raiders beat the Hitmen 5-2 on Tuesday night and the Suncoast Flyers 7-1 last Saturday.
On Tuesday, Daniel Scoular scored twice, while Dwight Davison, Ian Bunbury and Graham Benjafield added singles. Mike Yarrow and Matt Yarrow each chipped in two assists.
Brandon Waters scored both goals for the Hitmen.
Davison scored three goals to pace the Raiders in Saturday's win. Dave McLennan scored two, while Mike Yarrow and Benjafield added singles. Jarred Rutley picked up three assists, and Tristan Tuplin checked in with two helpers.
Jordan Radymski scored for the Flyers with assists to Kyle Vaughn and Taylor Watters.
The Roberts Creek Rangers and Flyers continue to battle for third and fourth place with the Rangers getting two wins this week to move three points up on the Flyers.
Glenn Allen, Scott Leibing, Chris Campbell and Matt Fawcus all scored goals in a big second period on Tuesday to pace the Rangers to a 4-1 win over the Flyers. Steve Chang picked up two assists.
Watters scored the lone goal for the Flyers.
Last Saturday, the Rangers edged the Hitmen 2-0.
Alex Peters and Jason Wilson scored goals, while Sam Murray and Tom Bailey picked up assists.
