On Jan. 12, the Chatelech Ski Team made their way to Whistler for their first race after the holidays. The team left with great results.
Evelyn Klassen finished with first place in Girls Snowboarding, another repeated win for her. In the Girls Skiing category, Paige Franken placed in third for the second time and Paige Doyle place eighth in her first race of the season.
Boys Snowboarding saw Quillan Lightfoot drop down to 10th from his previous third place position, but this past race saw many strong contenders throw their hat in the ring.
Levi Mural, a new member of the team, saw a shorter time down the course and is working on trying to catch his seasoned teammate.
Erik Krutsky and Sam Robinson, two more newcomers, finished their races with Top 20 and Top 25 respectively. Marley Mural and Jack Campbell, competing in the Boys Skiing category, both did well against tough competition.
The team is looking forward to its next race on Jan. 19.
