Harbourside Friendships, Thursday, Feb. 27 will also welcome the duo, Joan and Ted, performing for your enjoyment. 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those attending will have a free lunch. As we know, music is very much alive and a most enjoyable vehicle for fundraising here in the Harbour. The first week in March is definitely proof.

‘70s Disco Fever Night, March 8, 6:30 p.m. at the Legion, live music by DJ Karl, a fundraising event for Serendipity Daycare. The evening includes a 50/50 draw, silent auction, and burger and beer. Rotary Rocks 50/50 raffle proceeds will go towards the fundraising campaign to send Pender Harbour Secondary School students to the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Camp, which will take place March 27 to 30 at Camp Elphinstone in Gibsons. This inspiring program offers a unique combination of workshops and activities aimed at building leadership skills and fostering connections among emerging leaders from the Lower Mainland and the Sunshine Coast. The club will cover the $550 cost per student to ensure access for all. Registration will be limited to six students, with the possibility of accommodating more if space allows. The Volunteer Income Tax Preparation Program will once again be available to those who qualify in Pender Harbour and for the first time in Egmont. March 1 to April 30. Walk in, drop off and appointments available.
