There is a new fruit picking program on the Coast. Yeah! Fruit trees are attractants for bears and other wildlife. Go to Sunshine Coast Picking Program’s Facebook page for more info and to volunteer.
Stay safe. Keep our paradise safe. As I write this July 4 our area is at 4 = High Danger on the BC Wildfire Service site. Forest fuels are very dry, and the fire risk is serious. New fires may start easily, burn vigorously, and challenge fire suppression efforts. Extreme caution must be used in any forest activities. Stay safe. Keep our paradise safe.
