Our dearly beloved mom and grandmother has ascended to join her tribe beyond this earthly dimension.

Friends and family members, often mentioned that Kathleen was as beautiful on the inside, as she was on the outside. Kind-hearted, giving, loving understanding, fair, patient and maternal to the core. Providing this template of how to live life well, was a gift she passed on to her two loving daughters, Diane and Colleen and her only grandchild, Vanessa.

Born in Wroxton, Saskatchewan she spent her early years on the farm with her loving parents and only sibling, big brother Adam, who she always admired and cherished.

Graduating from Normal school in Yorkton Saskatchewan, she became a school teacher in the two room school house in Mistatim Saskatchewan. Her dedication and kindness made her adored by her students grades 1 to 7.

It was in Mistatim that she met the love of her life, Samuel James Eros: A handsome, convalescing WWII war hero who returned to his 'hometown' to recuperate. Kathleen often fondly recounted that the post mistress, Ma McCue, eagerly introduced them. The rest, as they say, is history. They were happily married for 64 years.

Sam and Kathleen married and moved to Vancouver, BC., where they opened and operated a small grocery store on Fraser Street, later going on to other ventures.

After raising their two daughters in North Burnaby, Sam and Kathy moved to Langley, then years later to the Sunshine Coast to be with Diane and Vanessa. They remained there for the rest of their days.

Kathleen leaves behind devoted daughters, Diane Baron and Colleen Eros and granddaughter Vanessa Baron. In Kathleen's last week of life, all three were at her side providing unwavering care and support for her and one another. No less a daughter, we acknowledge Marcia Paynter as an integral part of the rich fabric of Kathy's life. Kathleen will also be deeply missed by her best friend of over 90 years, Victoria Kilby.

By Kathleen's request, no service will be held. Her love and light that touched so many, is her legacy. Rest well precious Mama. We love you.
