It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Darlene Ann Walsh (nee Horth) on October 6th in Sechelt, BC. She is predeceased by her parents, Nelly and Ted Horth, and her siblings, Leonard Horth, Teddy Horth, Doug Horth, Lila Trotter, and Allen Horth. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ron Walsh, her children Lori (Glenn) Davis, Ron Walsh, Leann Horth, grandchildren Sarah (Albert) Davis Cornet, Brittney Davis, Katie (Chris) Smith, Travis Schultz, Mitchell Walsh, and great-grandchildren Kamaria, Mekhi, and Carson as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Darlene was a loving friend and community member in her time on the Sunshine Coast. She loved her time in the Coasters Car Club and was an avid car enthusiast along with her husband Ron. She had a way of making friends wherever she went and brought joy and light to every person she met. Her happiness, joy in life, and laugh were contagious, and she will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Darlene's husband and extended family would like to thank the staff and care team at Shorncliffe for their compassion and care during her time there. In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made in Darlene's honor to a charity of your choosing. A memorial service will be held in the spring at a date yet to be confirmed.
