Lila Faye McCourt (nee McPhedran) passed away on September 20, 2023 with her devoted husband Hugh by her side. After a debilitating accident several months ago, Faye's health deteriorated dramatically and she was unable to recover. She lived life in vibrant colour and on her own terms, writing her own obituary in true Faye fashion. This "second obituary" is a bonus from friends and family. Faye loved to share her photos and found joy in spreading cheer and a chuckle from one end of the Coast to the other through her visits to seniors and entertaining halloween costumes. She had a witty sense of humour and loved to chat. She never failed to send a greeting card and a handwritten letter on every special occasion, usually filled with scratch tickets, a toonie or stickers for the kids. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her husband of 55 years, many friends, family and the ducks of the Sechelt Marsh. A final "Cheerio!" from all of us who loved her.
