The Sunshine Coast Equestrian Club and the Fraser Valley Hunt Club are hosting the annual Fox Hunt on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 1498 Lockyer Rd. in Roberts Creek. The event starts at 10:30 a.m. with opening ceremonies and a blessing for the hunt, the riders and the hounds by Rev. Esther North, followed by a stirrup cup toast. The horn will sound and hunters and hounds will be off to the chase at 11 a.m.
The hunt is after the scent of foxes only, not live foxes, and goes for about 1.5 hours. Food will be provided for the riders only. Hunt spectators are welcome to bring their own picnic lunches to enjoy with family and friends after the hunt.
The hunt will be judged, with three prizes awarded -first prize is a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne.
