I attended the “Community Dialogue” session organized by the Town of Gibsons on Tuesday evening, Jan. 7. In addition to dozens of interested citizens, the mayor and most of the town’s council and senior staff were there to present an in-depth explanation of the 2025 budget. They answered questions and solicited comments about what people deemed as important items to address this year.
A video was also screened that told the story of the Gibsons’ Residents Assembly, which is a group of citizens with different backgrounds who have supplied the council with valuable input regarding the OCP and future needs of our community. It was very good to see our council demonstrating that it listens to its constituents.
