Sunshine Coast Minor Hockey U15A team made a strong impression at the BC Hockey U15 Tier 3 Provincial Championship, securing a commendable fourth-place finish. The tournament, held in Cranbrook from March 15 to 20, brought together the top 10 Tier 3 teams from across B.C., making for a highly competitive event.
Throughout the championship, our players demonstrated remarkable resilience, grit, and leadership as they battled against some of the best teams in the province. Their tenacity on the ice and unwavering team spirit were evident in every game, earning them the respect of both competitors and fans alike.
While in Cranbrook, U15A was honoured to be awarded the Fair Play Award.
On and off the ice, players carried themselves with respect for their opponents, officials and how they spent their time in the town of Cranbrook.
The team’s success was made possible not only by their dedication and hard work but also by the incredible support from the Sunshine Coast community. Many local businesses generously sponsored the U15A team, ensuring the players had the resources needed to compete at the highest level. This overwhelming community support highlights the generosity and commitment of the Sunshine Coast in fostering young athletes and encouraging their development in the sport.
