The Raiders emerged as champions after a hard-fought playoff run that culminated in a victory over Lon’s Gun Show in the finals. The journey to the championship began with a series of closely contested games, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

In the opening round, the Raiders edged out the Barons in a tight battle, with standout pitching from Brad Kohuch. Meanwhile, Lon’s Gun Show triumphed over the Bears in a defensive showdown. Despite an early four-run lead by the Bears, the Gun Show’s defense, led by key plays from Jody Underwood and Taylor Hanchar, secured a 7-5 comeback victory. The Bears then rebounded with a 9-8 upset over the defending champions, the Barons, thanks to clutch hits from Grant Chapman and stellar defensive plays, including a home run-robbing catch by Connor Peers.

In the semifinals, the Raiders faced Lon’s Gun Show in a tense game. After a scoreless start, the Raiders broke through, capitalizing on errors and timely hitting to build a 6-0 lead. Though the Gun Show rallied in the final innings, the Raiders held on for a 6-5 win, earning a spot in the championship game.

In an exciting culmination to the playoffs, the Raiders defeated the Bears to earn a rematch in the championship final against Lon’s Gun Show. The final day of the tournament was filled with action, starting with Jackson taking home the trophy in the Home Run Derby and the Barons securing the Baron Cup in a high-scoring comeback win over the Bears.

The championship game was a display of top-notch pitching and defensive plays. Brad Kohuch, pitching for the Raiders, delivered an outstanding performance on the mound. His effort was backed by solid defensive plays, including a game-changing catch by Tyler Graham in center field, robbing Nolan Lewarne of what could have been an extra-base hit.

On the opposing side, Mike Sopow pitched for Lon’s Gun Show, also benefiting from strong defensive support. Taylor Hanchar made a spectacular diving catch at second base, denying Bret Trefry a hit. However, Bret had his moment of redemption in his next at-bat, smashing a triple into the gap to lead off the fourth inning, sparking a three-run rally for the Raiders.

Despite several attempts by Lon’s Gun Show to rally, Brad Kohuch and the Raiders’ defense held firm, preventing any significant threat from materializing. The Raiders emerged victorious with a final score of 5 to 2, clinching the championship title.
