On Nov. 26, eight Grade 4/5 teams participated in a triple ball round robin event at Chatelech Secondary. The athletes demonstrated impressive growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Special thanks to Jamie Mani and his athletic leadership team for their support.
On Nov. 29, 18 teams from across the Coast competed in the Grade 6/7 volleyball/triple ball jamboree at Elphinstone Secondary School. The teams were divided into three pools of six.
In the round robin portion, Cedar Grove #1 went undefeated in the "A” flight, while defending champion Halfmoon Bay #1 also went undefeated in the B1 flight.
The B2 flight was led by Roberts Creek #2 with a 4-1 record.
In the afternoon playoffs, Cedar Grove was victorious as the "A" flight winners over Davis Bay #1, and Halfmoon Bay won the "A" consolation final.
West Sechelt #2 upset West Sechelt #1 in a friendly school rivalry for the B1 title. Kinnikinnick #2 was victorious in the consolation draw.
The B2 playoffs saw Roberts Creek #2 continue their winning ways as the victors in their division. Davis Bay #2 took the B2 consolation final after battling Halfmoon Bay #2.
The students displayed incredible energy and positive spirit while showcasing their volleyball talents.
