Christopher Ruck, 13, and Maddie Wilcock,16, were among the 10 sailors from the Gibsons Sailing Club who attended the Commodore’s Cup regatta at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club Aug. 30 to Sept. 1.
Ruck and Wilcock won first place in the Club 420 Class (a two-person boat). But they weren’t alone: The Gibsons Sailing Club swept the 420 class podium, also taking second and third places.
Club sailors also competed in the Laser Class and Optimist Class races.
