Bus riders by Joe/Orange Road have a bit more of a trek to reach a stop these days.
Road construction by the Highway 101 intersection means that the north and southbound Route #90 (Sechelt/Langdale Express) bus stops at that location are closed until further notice, BC Transit said in a notice released March 21.
The construction is related to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure building protected left-turn lanes eastbound and westbound, along with adjustments to the intersection's overall alignment.
In other BC Transit tidbits:
- The bus service lifted its mask mandate earlier this month, when the provincial health officer announced the province-wide mandate was lifting.
- There's still no word on if BC Transit will align its bus service schedule with BC Ferries's amended Langdale evening schedule, extended now into mid-June.
