Sunshine Coast RCMP are renewing their call this week for public assistance into the disappearance of 61-year-old Halfmoon Bay resident Donald Jackson.
Jackson was last seen on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at his home on Seacrest Road.
Const. Kathleen Falebrinza said this week that Sunshine Coast Search and Rescue and the local coast guard auxiliary have conducted extensive water and land searches, but there is still no sign of Jackson.
Falebrinza said Jackson's vehicle is still parked at his home.
"We can't even confirm if he has in fact left the area," she said. "We would like the public to call us if they remember seeing him hitch hiking or walking somewhere, even getting into another vehicle. We're also asking that anyone out walking along trails or hiking areas to report any suspicious activity."
Jackson is described as a slim, 6-1, Caucasian man with dark brown graying hair, who normally wears glasses with a yellow tint and is clean-shaven.
Anyone who may have seen Jackson is urged to contact the RCMP at 604-885-2266.
