Sunshine Coast RCMP have arrested a male suspect in connection with multiple reports of unwanted sexual touching, which occurred in Sechelt and the Town of Gibsons, between Jan. 24 and 26.
The suspect, who had not been previously identified, was located and taken into custody following an ongoing investigation. Charges have not been laid yet and the suspect’s name cannot be released.
Police would like to extend their appreciation to the brave individuals who quickly came forward to report these incidents. Their courage has been instrumental in advancing the investigation.
"We recognize how difficult it can be to report these types of incidents and we commend the strength of those who have shared their experience,” said Staff Sgt. Jennifer Prunty.
