The BC Cancer Agency is looking for exceptional individuals whose efforts make a real difference in the lives of those living with cancer as candidates for the agency's 2011 Community Caregiver Award.
The award, sponsored by the BC Cancer Foundation, recognizes and celebrates the contributions of individuals in our communities who help improve the lives of those living with cancer.
Anyone who provides care to cancer patients in B.C. is eligible. This includes all members of the community - from nurses to pharmacists to volunteers. BC Cancer Agency employees can be nominated for work only outside their regular job duties.
The award recipient will receive a plaque, public recognition of their achievement, and $300. The winner will be announced at the BC Cancer Agency's annual Cancer Conference banquet on Dec. 2 in Vancouver.
