The Sunshine Coast Dirtbike Association’s 5th annual Grey Creek Grind Fun Ride Sept. 23 was the local club‘s most successful event yet! More than 70 riders, including some from Alberta, took part. The SCDBA put a lot of work into making the event suitable for all levels of riders and the two marked courses were designed to intersect at various points so riders could test their skills and increase or decrease difficulty as their skills or endurance allowed. As the first riders began returning to the staging area, the gathering sky got progressively worse until heavy rain greeted the final finisher, yet spirits were high. All enjoyed food, door prizes, a raffle draw and meeting fellow riders. The SCDBA would like to thank KMT Contracting, Sunshine Coast Community Forest, Lafarge, Batch 44, Jenkins Construction and all the many other sponsors. Funds raised go towards trail maintenance tools and more FunRide events!
