Here are the Lower Sunshine Coast's New Year's Eve celebrations for 2024

From Gibsons to Sechelt, Roberts Creek to Pender Harbour, there is a party for everyone , including the kids.

Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre

New Year’s Gala

Dec. 31: 7 p.m.

Say goodbye to 2024 and greet the new year with a bang, with the Creek Big Band and Definitely Diva in the SSAC Auditorium.

Tickets $25 in advance at the SSAC front desk or at A Little Brit of Heaven

$30 at the door. Champagne served at 9 p.m.

New Year’s Eve, New York style: 4:30 to 9:30p.m.

Persephone does it up huge — but early. They do a full count down with bubbles and sparklers at 12 p.m. New York time (9 p.m. PST). Kids are welcome with a responsible adult — please note the Sofa Kings will be rocking loud.

Enjoy a delicious buffet and one of the best party bands in town.

Tickets: $35 and include bubbles and sparkling apple juice for non drinkers.

Dec. 31: 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Celebrate NYE at Tapworks with two DJs, two floors, fire pits and midnight sparklers for an unforgettable night of icy beats and fiery energy!

Upstairs Patio: The Blizzard (9 p.m. to midnight). Step into a frosty wonderland with DJ Aaron Saxby, spinning icy-cool deep house tracks to set the mood for a magical night under the stars. Cozy up by the fire pits and soak in the chill vibes.

Downstairs Taproom: The Inferno (11 p.m. to 2 a.m.). Heat things up with DJ E-List, delivering high-energy dance tracks guaranteed to keep you moving. The dance floor will be on fire — literally and figuratively!

No cover charge, just bring your friends, your best party vibes and your dancing shoes!

 

Roberts Creek Hall

Enjoy live music at this family friendly event. Bring your own snacks or whatever you like.

Sponsored by the Roberts Creek Legion #219 and the Roberts Creek Community Association.

Admission by donation.

 

Pender Harbour Legion

Dec. 31: Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner is at 7 p.m.

Enjoy a feast of assorted appetizers, prime rib with Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, gravy and strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Party favours and a Champagne special will add to the festivities.

$65 a person

New Years Day Pajama Party at PH Legion

(Pajamas optional)

Eggs benny brunch includes a mimosa or a Caesar.

Sunshine Coast Hospice: Lighting of the Memories

Jan. 1: 1 p.m.

The annual Lighting of the Memories will commence at Davis Bay Beach near Mission Point Park.

Since 1993, Sunshine Coast Hospice has hosted a ceremonial bonfire on New Years’ Day called, “Lighting of the Memories.” Held at Mission Point, Davis Bay, the event invites the public to symbolically bring a cherished memory of their loved one(s) into the new year.
