Royal Canadian Legion #140 Sechelt hosted the last full day of service at its Wharf Avenue location on Saturday, March 23.
The Legion will reopen in April at its new home at 5546 Inlet Road (across from the post office). Volunteers and staff have been working countless hours in both locations in preparation for the move.
“Attendance was terrific” at the last day’s events, said Legion president Bill McLean, who appreciates the support from the community. Guests are always welcome at the Legion; membership is not required.
It is planned for the new venue to be open for family-friendly hours. Drop by for a beverage and a meal, meet your friends, enjoy live entertainment, or play a game of snooker.
