Happy Labour Day weekend!
As September arrives, there are many operating hours that change. For our lovely Harbour Gallery, Sunday, Sept. 1, will be the final full-time opening day for the summer season. For the rest of September, the gallery will be open Saturdays only, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For the month of September, there will be live music every Sunday afternoon at the Madeira Park Legion 2 to 5 p.m. This weekend, Monday is the day. Celebrate Labour Day Monday with Eddy Edrik and his British Invasion Dance Party, an afternoon of fantastic ‘60s dance music with the Eddy Edrik Band, featuring Eddy Edrik, Mitch Lazer, Bruce Mortimer and Bill Barclay. $10 cover at the door.
Eddy also performs solo every Friday night starting at 6:30 p.m.

The Pender Harbour Music Society Concert Series continues with the fabulous jazz trio Trilogy, Sunday, Sept. 22. This supergroup of three award-winning Canadian jazz musicians - Jodi Proznick on bass, Miles Black on piano, and Bill Coon on guitar, joined forces to form one of Canada’s finest jazz trios. Fashioned after the great early jazz trios of Nat King Cole and Oscar Peterson, they will be performing wonderful impromptu arrangements of classic standards and original tunes – a show you do not want to miss! The Pender Harbour Fall Fair will be held Sunday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hall. Come celebrate the season. There will be a harvest exhibition, vendors, kids’ activities, and food. Call out to vendors: tables $30, visit PHFF Facebook page and send a amessage.
