August 15, 1947 - October 30, 2024

Steve Dediluke, age 77, of Gibsons, BC, passed away peacefully in the early morning of October 30, 2024. He was surrounded by his beloved family and loved ones. Steve grew up on the Sunshine Coast, a town he loved. He worked as a self-employed backhoe operator and served the community for 35+ years. His interests were dinner get-togethers with family and friends, singing and playing his guitar. Steve was recognizable and a well-known local resident. His thoughtful, generous spirit and willingness to help others in need will always be remembered by all who knew him.

Steve will be lovingly remembered and missed by Claudette, his wife of 52 years. They married in 1972, and they shared a beautiful life together with his adopted children, Lynn, Louise, Guy, Ron (predeceased) and their son, Stephen Jr, in their family home in Gibsons that he rebuilt in 1974.

He is survived by his sister Vera, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which meant more to him than words can describe. Family always came first in his world, and his presence will be deeply missed. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Edna and Stephen Sr. and sister, Marilyn.

Rest in peace, and thank you for all your love, support and memories. Steve's pain and discomfort from his illnesses over the past few years have finally passed.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Steve's honour at a later date.
