It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Patrick George Wheelihan, born June 10, 1950, in Tacoma, Washington, USA. He was a long-time resident of Gibsons and was employed by the paper mill in Port Mellon. After retirement from the mill in Gibsons he moved to West Kelowna where he lived out his retirement days until he passed. Predeceased by his beloved wife Donna Wheelihan, his brother Michael, and his sister Maureen and parents Frances & Donald Barr. He is lovingly survived by his sisters Sherri, Donne (Dan), his devoted partner Sandy Coueffin, and his children: Melanie (Peter), David, Natasha (Rob), Bev (Darren), and Dennis (Cheryl). His memory will be cherished by his grandchildren Rikki-Lin (Darren), Dayton (Stephanie), and Lucas, as well as his great-grandchildren Blake and Brooks. Pat is also survived by his loving niece Julie (Jason). A celebration of life will be held at a later date and shared to all to honour his memory.
