It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we inform you of the passing of our beloved Elizabeth (Betty) Letham. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. On August 13, 2023, in Gibsons, BC, Betty peacefully left us after a courageous battle with Huntington's Disease (HD). We find solace in the knowledge that she can now find rest. We deeply appreciate the support, cards, and visits that have been extended during this challenging period for both Betty and our family.
Betty was a remarkable individual, a cherished presence in our community. Her loss leaves an indescribable void. While words cannot fully convey our grief, we wish to take a moment to honour the vibrant life she lived, though it was cut short prematurely. Betty's happiness found its peak in gatherings with her loved ones. In remembrance of her beautiful life, we are organizing a celebration at Hopkins Landing (1232 Point Rd, Gibsons, BC) on September 9th, 2pm. Your presence would mean a lot to us.
In honour of Betty's wishes and commitment to her family's values, we kindly request that, instead of flowers, you consider contributing to the Hopkins Landing Heritage Path Society (1114 Point Road, Gibsons, BC, V0N 1V1) and or the Huntington Society of Canada (Stevens Skene Family Fund). These causes held a special place in her heart. Your support would be a fitting tribute to her memory.
