August 5, 1939 - July 24, 2023
Barbara, a devoted Christian, peacefully passed away at 83, joining her beloved husband Rene and son Brad. Her life was a testimony of faith, love, and service. A doting mother to Shana, and Brad (predeceased), she embraced her role as a grandmother to Kathryn, Ashley, and Taylor, and great-grandmother to Cypress, John, Jacob, Nicolas, and Mykiah. She also had much love for her foster sons and their children.
Barbara's love for Jesus was boundless, and she shared His message fervently. A successful entrepreneur, she founded Coast Interiors after working at Teredo Carpet and Home Center. She graced Celebration Gardens as event coordinator and florist. Active in Bethel Baptist Church, she partnered with YWAM in worldwide missions, spreading joy through drama and dance. Her caring spirit shone as a chaplain at Delta Hospital and a volunteer at Ladner Community Police Station.
Barbara's warmth and compassion created lasting friendships, leaving an enduring impact. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, August 22nd at 2pm at Bethel Baptist Church, where we will honor her legacy of faith and love. All those that knew her and would like to attend are welcome.
