Born on July 20, 1963 in Toronto, Canada. When Grace was born, she was welcomed into the world with thunder and lightning, and she kept a little bit of that storm in her throughout her life with her boundless energy and loud voice. She was never afraid to tell it like it was, and you would be wise to follow her loving advice. As a young woman, Grace came to Pender Harbour on a student exchange where she graduated from Pender Harbour Secondary. Grace made her home on Menacher Road with her three children, Michael, Aaron, and Danielle, her two foster children, Bryan and Taylor, as well as their farm full of animals. She was an early riser and loved to wake the rest of the house up with her singing and playful exclaiming at her children and their friends to “get up and start the day!” Even if it was 5am. Grace seized every day of her life with both hands, and we only wish we had more days to spend with her.
Grace passed away in her home on Sunday July 9th, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was an unforgettable person and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community; including her sister Anna and her niece and nephew Debbie and James.
Thank you to the Pender Harbour nurses, the paramedics, and the amazing care aides from VCH. The Pazur’s are so grateful for all of your care and support over the last year.
There will be a celebration of life on August 19th at the Grasshopper Pub from 1pm-4pm. Donations in Grace’s honour can be made to the Ruby Slipper Fund.
