1936-2024
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Len Pakulak on December 4, 2024. He died, peacefully, at home, surrounded by immediate family.
Len was born in Alberta, but early in his childhood, his parents and brothers moved to Winnipeg to the close knit community of Douglas Park Road, St. James. Later he attended U of M for Mechanical Engineering and Western for his MBA. Along the way, he met Lynn Gilbank, and they were married in 1961 with daughters Kathy (Tony) and Karen (David) soon to follow.
Len worked for Imperial Oil for over three decades in numerous locations in Canada and the US. In retirement, Len and Lynn moved to the Sunshine Coast where they became involved in numerous community groups: Power Squadron, Wine Makers, Festival of the Written Arts, Weavers & Spinners, Wood Crafters, Community Forests, and golf where they developed a wide range of interests and an army of good friends that brought great memories and richness to their lives. Mom predeceased Dad in 2013.
A celebration of Len’s life will be held February 19, 2025, at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church, Sechelt, at 11:30 am.
