“Spreading Kindness.” For the past five years, donations to this fundraiser have assisted local youth and families in need throughout the year by supporting the Pender Harbour Community School Youth and Families Support Program. Funds are used to purchase essential supplies, grocery cards and needs of local people. At Christmastime, gift cards, food, toys, and clothing are distributed at the PH Food Bank Christmas Hamper Day by Lyn Charlton, the driving force behind Spreading Kindness, and her husband Bill with help from the local Lions Club. The need has skyrocketed this year. You can donate three ways, through the secure online PH Rotary https://portal.clubrunner.ca/1875/donate, e-transfer to [email protected] or mail cheque payable to PH Rotary, (Spreading Kindness in memo) Box 40, Garden Bay, BC, V0N1S0.
