Sunday, Oct. 2, Provisions Bistro at the Pender Harbour Golf Club presents the outrageously popular Steve Hinton Band rocking the house from 2 to 5 p.m. Come out, bring your friends for a great afternoon of food and tunes. 

The Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society has art classes starting this Monday, Oct. 3. The six classes are Monday and Wednesday afternoons. Trivia Night returns to the Harbour! The Reading Centre is hosting Reading Centre Trivia Challenge at the Legion, Wednesday, Oct. 5 starting at 7 p.m. Proceeds go to our high school to fund field trips. Alan Stewart will MC. $5 per person. Tables of six. So get your ace team together and choose a name. First, second and third prizes. There will be a 50/50 Draw too. Come early to register and pay and enjoy Wednesday Wing Night. 

Womens’ Connection begins again on Tuesday, Oct. 11. Krystin Clark, “Inspiring Mindfulness & Gratitude” is the guest speaker. This will be an uplifting meeting to start off the new season. WC looks forward to learning about this young lady’s journey as a life coach and metaphysical minister as well as her other fascinating pursuits. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Speaker at 10 a.m. New drop-in fee $4, yearly membership is $15. Masks are optional and if you are unwell, we ask you not to attend for the safety of everyone. Welcome back ladies!  

The food bank has a call out for volunteers. Do you have a little extra time every second Monday 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.? If yes, come and volunteer at our local food bank. Contact [email protected] 

The School of Music Coffee House, Friday, Oct. 14 has a trio of wonderful coastal performers: Tropher Trick, Sean Peers, and George Connell with guest Garth Bowen. Suggested minimum donation $10 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. Music at 7:30 p.m.  

Many inquiries have come my way regarding a Christmas Market in Madeira Park. (I have retired). Any info or news please send my way. Other markets on the Coast I know; Sechelt Seniors Centre has an early bird and Sunnycrest Mall in Gibsons their two-day event.
