Kisses and Kicks: Kisses for return of teddy lost on BC Ferries

Here are the good deeds (and not so good deeds) that happened in our Coast community this week!
Kisses & Kicks
Kisses & Kicks

Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of Sept. 8!

  • A second round of kisses to Capilano Highway Services staff for sweeping highway shoulders west of Sechelt and probably farther. Gravel-and grit-free bike lanes make a huge difference for both ease of riding and safety.
  • Barking kicks to people who report a dog barking without talking to the owner first. My 91-year-old Dad is in the hospital, I have his dog and had no idea he was barking, I was at work! You have added huge stress that was very unnecessary!
  • My friend lives near Nanaimo. One of her grandchildren accidentally left Teddy on a ferry. Tears of loss and a call to the Ferries by grandma resulted in the location of Teddy. And...one of the employees dropped Teddy off at home on their way home after work.
  • Kisses to the amazing pharmacist Rami for hand delivering post-surg meds, after office hours, while I was stuck on the ferry coming home.
  • Kicks to the woman on the top of Reed Road trail riding a horse. You didn’t need to scream at me to turn my bike around and go the other way. Asking nicely would have worked just as well. It is a multi-use trail. Also kicks for leaving the trail covered in horse manure. It’s disgusting.
  • Kicks to those who visit beaches (in front of waterfront properties) and literally “go” wherever they want (i.e. pee and poop) because “It’s a public beach” (direct quote). Show some respect. Or better yet, hang out at the public beaches that have public washrooms.
  • Electrifying kisses to the Repair Cafe team who fixed my mini fan and my stained glass lamp cord. You are the best! Thank you.
  • Stars to the kind person who paid for my chili at Independent when my PC card did not work. The world would be a better place with more people like you. Grateful.
  • Kisses galore to the honest person who turned my red wallet in to the library. Thanks Rose and staff for the phone call. I‘m so grateful!
  • Grateful kisses to Dipesh at the Sechelt Telus store for resurrecting my old phone in record time, all with a big happy smile! Truly outstanding customer service!
