Letter: Marking Labour Day

Editor:

We are pleased to invite the community to the annual Labour Day celebration.

Labour Day plays a critical moment in our movement’s calendar. It represents the coming together of workers to celebrate our collective victories and advance our efforts to improve the lives of all workers. Sunshine Coast Labour Council is returning to host our annual Labour Day Picnic in Dougall Park on Monday, Sept. 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Our Labour Day Picnic has always been a memorable place to reconnect with friends and affiliates to strengthen our Labour Movement in solidarity.

It is also an honourable opportunity to contribute back to the Sunshine Coast community by bringing aspiring labour activist speakers, and local musical talents, and providing free warm lunch for all attending to enjoy with families and friends.

If you are interested in getting involved, please contact us.

Sunshine Coast Labour Council is looking forward to seeing you at the 2024 Labour Day Picnic.
