The fight harmonized sales tax (HST) campaign will be filing for the petition drive in January 2010. This tax is just a further path to the erosion in average people's quality of life. What we usually do is shrug our shoulders at these kinds of things and complain to whomever will listen. Politicians in general know and rely on this, but we actually have tools in place to let them know that they work for us. This is not a partisan initiative. How or who you voted for is not the issue. This will affect most of us negatively, period.

Other jurisdictions have implemented their forms of HST with public consultation and even lowered average people's tax burden - not in B.C. We deserve fair treatment, not underhanded attempts to ram bad ideas down our throats! We can stop this. Go to: www.fighthst.com or join the initiative e-mail contact page on Facebook, for more information on how you can help.
