Owners of the Coastal Tsunami junior hockey team have hired Giancarlo Nadeau as the team’s director of marketing, sales and media.

The North Vancouver-raised Nadeau worked for the Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL)’s North Vancouver Wolf Pack for five years as its media and marketing director.

Coastal Tsunami’s director of operatons, Rick Hopper, said in a release that Nadeau comes with “valuable experience” having worked in the PJHL. “Junior hockey is not only about developing players but also about developing people and providing opportunity in our business & hockey operations,” he said.

Nadeau said he is excited by the opportunity. “I want to thank the Wolf Pack for allowing me to break into the PJHL and the ownership group on the Coast for having the confidence and belief in me to work with them.”

The Coastal Tsunami, the PJHL’s newest franchise, hits the ice in September and will be based out of the Gibsons & Area Community Centre.
