Festive luncheon at Gibsons Legion marks coronation of King Charles III

The coronation of King Charles III is to start at 11 a.m. London time on May 6 – which is 3 a.m. Gibsons time. This group opted for a luncheon in advance of the ceremony to celebrate.

God save the King: Lori Weatherby, Lois Smith, Debra Smith, Fran Miller and Fraser Biggs gathered for a luncheon at the Gibsons Legion May 5 to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, which is taking place in the early hours of May 6 (Gibsons' time).

The locals were decked out in their formal wear – and the table was majestically decorated. 

The celebrators said they weren't getting up in the middle of the night to watch the ceremony live from Westminster Abbey. Instead, they're opting to record the event to watch later or catch clips online.
