The Sunshine Coast RCMP are asking the public for information into their investigation of a 35-year-old man who was arrested on Dec. 13 after allegations that he breached conditions of an order of prohibition.
The order on James Ross Armour stems from previous offences out of Alberta, a press release from the Sunshine Coast RCMP said. Armour is a Sunshine Coast resident.
The BC Prosecution Service approved two charges against Armour on Dec. 16: one for failing to comply with the order of prohibition, and one for breach of probation by allegedly having contact with a person under 16 years old and by attending a public park where people younger than 16 are or could be present, said the release.
The offence took place in the 5700 block of Wharf Avenue in Sechelt, Const. Jihan McDougall told Coast Reporter in an email.
Armour will be held in custody until his next court date, said the release.
Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact Sunshine Coast RCMP at 604-885-2266 about file 2021-8316.
