Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Polar Bear swim at Davis Bay was cancelled. But that did not dissuade one brave swimmer. Graeme Green, who has not missed a year, took it upon himself to participate. His daughter Erin – his lone supporter – stood on shore encouraging him, wrapped up warmly and under an umbrella. Even though he was the only swimmer, he still won a prize – a bottle of champagne. Well done, Mr. Green!
