Sunshine Coast RCMP suspect arson was the cause of a fire that destroyed an unoccupied home Monday night in Sechelt.
According to an RCMP press release, in the early morning of Jan. 10, RCMP and the Sechelt fire department responded to a house fire in the 5600 block of Kwatamus Avenue.
The fire department acted quickly and the fire was extinguished. The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire and is considered a total loss. RCMP are actively investigating the fire and suspect that the fire may have been set intentionally.
