The Sunshine Coast Quilters' Guild invites all interested in quilting to its September resource day on Sept. 24.

The doors of Davis Bay Elementary School gym will open at 9 a.m. Come and meet others from the Sunshine Coast interested in all forms and levels of quilting.

The day starts with fellowship and an opportunity for members to browse the library from 9 to 10 a.m. A business meeting begins at 10 followed by show and tell and the program. Lunch (bring your own) is from about 12:30 to 1 p.m. and then it is time for mini-workshops until 3 p.m. Membership for the year is $25 and entitles one to borrow books, receive a newsletter a couple of weeks before each resource day and participate in mini workshops, retreats, day long workshops and bus trips at member rates. A drop-in fee of $6 is payable at the door if you want to visit for the day.

September's meeting will be busy with sign up for birthday clubs and secret pals for the next season. The program is a trunk show from Northcott Silk - the only Canadian fabric design company. Mini workshops include paper piecing and redwork.

More information about the guild can be found at www.user.dccnet.com/scquilts/.

Organizers hope to see enthused quilters of all levels Sept. 24 in Davis Bay.
