BC Ferries (BCF) issued a notice at 3:45 p.m. Nov. 9 that its Queen of Surrey will be out of service on the Route 3 run between Landgale and Horseshoe Bay Nov. 9 and 10. BCF will be investigating a mechanical issue with the ship's main engine. The Queen of Oak Bay will sail in its place. That ship will follow a modified schedule to accommodate impacted traffic on the following sailings:
6:35 p.m. departing Horseshoe Bay (previously 5:30 p.m.)
7:40 p.m. departing Langdale (previously 6:40 p.m.)
8:45 p.m. departing Horseshoe Bay (previously 7:50 p.m.)
9:50 p.m. departing Langdale (previously 8:55 p.m.)
10:55 p.m. departing Horseshoe Bay, as scheduled.
In order to accommodate the adjusted schedule, the Malaspina Sky's last sailing of the day will depart at 10:40 p.m. so passengers from the 8:45 p.m. sailing from Horseshoe Bay can make it.
For the most up-to-date sailing and departure information, it advised the public to follow @BCFerries on Twitter, visit it's Current Conditions page on bcferries.com or call in toll free to 1-888-223-3779.
