An electrician injured during an industrial accident last week at Howe Sound Pulp and Paper (HSPP) remains in critical condition.

"He has a long road ahead of him but [the doctors] are pleased with his progress so far," said Al Strang, manager, environment and external relations at HSPP.

Strang said the injured man has been unable to talk with investigators of the Jan. 30 accident thus far, but the preliminary report required by WorkSafe BC has been filed. The paper machine, shut down because of the accident, was repaired and operational again on Feb 2.
