A 28-year-old Gibsons man is facing several weapons-related charges after he was arrested May 16 by Sunshine Coast RCMP.
RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence on Stewart Road where two loaded handguns were found in the residence during the search.
According to RCMP, John Armstrong Small was arrested and is currently in custody. He has been remanded to jail until his next court appearance later this month.
Small is facing six criminal charges including assault, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, illegal possession of a prohibited firearm, and careless storage of a firearm.
