For the second year in a row, the Coast Reporter was named best in its circulation class at the Ma Murray Awards.
The 2022 awards were announced May 14 at a gala hosted by the B.C. and Yukon Community News Media Association (BCYCNA) at the River Rock Casino Resort.
The Coast Reporter won gold in circulation class D (up to 17,000 circulation) and also came away with a silver and two bronze awards:
The 2021 People's Choice campaign earned a silver Ad Campaign award for Eric Pinfold, Christine Daleo, Patrick Lessard, Deanna Harvey and Dimitri Shvartsman.
The 2021 wedding guide earned Nancy Tiffin, Eric Pinfold, Patrick Lessard and Dimitri Shvartsman a bronze in the Special Publications over 10,000 circulation category.
The quarterly magazine Coast Life – helmed by Jan DeGrass, Victoria Frodsham and Shelley Ackerman – nabbed a bronze in the Magazine Excellence category.
This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the BCYCNA.
