Coast Reporter is a finalist in five categories of the BC and Yukon Community Newspapers Association’s 2021 Ma Murray Community Newspaper Awards.
The nominations, announced March 19, are as follows:
• Newspaper Excellence – 12,001 to 33,000 circulation category
• Ad Campaign Award – Dimitri Shvartsman, Eric Pinfold – "Silver Stone Heights"
• Ad Design award in the circulation category over 10,000 – Dimitri Shvartsman, Eric Pinfold – "Climate Action Speaker Series"
• Business Writing Award – Sophie Woodrooffe, “New businesses lose out on access to key federal benefits”
• Portrait/Personality Photo Award – Sophie Woodrooffe, “SD46 bus driver resigns over mask policy”
The winners will be announced at a virtual gala on April 29.
