Busy summer for Lagoon Society

On Monday, July 17, the Lagoon Society will hold its AGM and summer celebration at the Iris Griffith Centre at 7 p.m. The Lagoon Society would like to notify its members that they will be proposing changes to the Society constitution.

The Lagoon Society would like to notify its members that they will be proposing changes to the Society constitution. On the same evening the Society will draw the winning raffle ticket for a $20,000 diamond pendant. Dr. Kurt Grimm, associate professor in the Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences at UBC will present a talk entitled "What is Sustainablility?" With refreshments and many fantastic supporters, it promises to be a pleasant evening. Throughout July and August the Iris Griffith Centre will host a variety of exciting events, including a guided kayak trip on Sakinaw Lake July 8, a story-telling series on Sunday evenings starting July 16 and a marine life slide show and field trip on July 29.
