The Gibsons and District Public Library is offering a unique workshop on Sept. 3 at 1 p.m. that straddles the fiction and non-fiction departments of the library.
Participants of all ages are invited to learn about speaking “off the cuff,” “from the page,” and “onto the stage” by rehearsing the rudiments of live storytelling. Each attendee will deliver a three- to five-minute story.
The free Tall Tales workshop is presented by Johanna Rzepa, the 2015 champion of the Toastmasters Sunshine Coast Tall Tales Contest, and co-founder of Encompass Project.
Advance registration is required — contact the Gibsons and District Public Library to register. Rzepa will contact each registrant before the workshop to ascertain specific interests and to assist with story draft preparation.
