The Gibsons United Church will continue its garage sale from last weekend this Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Everything will be sold for half price at this church fundraiser located at 724 Trueman Road.
The Gibsons Public Art Gallery (GPAG) is sponsoring a Canada Day Bag o' Books Sidewalk Sale on July 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 431 Marine Drive.
GPAG will sell a printed, cotton bag with Jan Poynter's painting of Molly's Reach on one side for only $10 each. You can fill your bag with books for free because the gallery has accumulated a huge collection of books to keep you and your family reading all summer long. The Gambier Island Community Centre invites you to a concert fundraiser featuring the dance band March Hare on July 12, from noon to 5 p.m.
Tickets are $15, but kids 12 and under are free. Buy your tickets on-line from http://www.gambierisland.org/Events.htm. Or take your chances and pay cash at the door: ticket sales are limited.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase, but please take note: there is no ATM on the island. This is a licensed event; please don’t bring your own liquor.
The Sunshine Coast Museum & Archives invites all small, wooden boat owners and collectors to participate in the small boat exhibit during Sea Cavalcade on July 26-27.
