Sunshine Coast Association for Community Living (SCACL) is challenging Coasters to support the 2024 Special Olympics BC’s Polar Plunge Challenge by joining Team SCACL to take the plunge into the cold ocean at the beach by Sechelt Rotary Friendship Park on Wednesday, Feb. 21 from 1 to 2 pm.
According to the Special Olympics BC website:
“#Plunge4SOBC … raises vital funds to support Special Olympics BC’s life-changing year-round sport, youth, and health programs for athletes with intellectual disabilities!”
SCACL is challenging local law enforcement and emergency-response services, service clubs, community organizations, local governments, local businesses and community members to form their own teams or participate as individuals in taking the plunge during the event on Feb. 21.
It’s easy and fun to take the Plunge and make a difference!
1. Register at www.plunge4specialolympics.com and select team Sunshine Coast Polar Plunge
2. Fundraise with your family, friends, and community (and win prizes for your fundraising successes)
3. Take the group plunge on Feb. 21, or plunge on your own anytime Feb. 17 to March 3.
Let’s get bold and cold to empower Special Olympics BC athletes!
