The Canadian Tai Chi Academy, Sunshine Coast Branch, hosted its first workshop on Saturday, June 21, at the Sechelt Legion.
Paul Cuppen started the branch in February, while Doug Overholt, a gifted instructor from the Vancouver Branch with 40 years experience in the art of tai chi, was invited to instruct the group.
Overholt, who had worked closely with master Moy, readily shared his knowledge and experiences which included some of the health benefits that can be attained. His experiences with master Moy gave the 22 members present both insight and direction in this internal art.
Refreshments were provided by the members for the four-hour event and a lovely lunch was enjoyed at a local restaurant.
