Seeking lacrosse referees

The Sunshine Coast Rapids Lacrosse board of directors are seeking adults and teens for referee training. We will start the 2023 season understaffed on referees for all age groups. To host home games for the upper age teams or host exhibition games for the younger players we will require referees travelling from the Lower Mainland. That cost will add up quickly which increases fees for everyone. 

We are seeking help from adult and teen family members. We especially want to encourage parents and older teen players. Please consider the benefits of this training. You and your player will know the rules better and you will have an active role in helping the sport grow. The more people we have the less work it is on the group. If you are concerned about potential negative issues – be aware that BC Lacrosse is enforcing rules of conduct for spectators, coaches, managers and players.
