Valentine’s Day is not just about flowers and romantic cards, it’s about compassion, respect and honour for our friends and fellow human beings.

The organizing committee spent hours stuffing the envelopes to distribute Valentines to the Coast’s healthcare workers.

The Rotary Club of ch’atlich organized dozens of its Friends of Rotary to design, make, and/or handwrite more than 1,350 heartfelt Valentine thank you cards for all the healthcare workers on the Sunshine Coast.

We're grateful to every one of our healthcare workers for their wonderful and dedicated service to us and wanted to show our appreciation with cards and chocolates. Rotary also wishes to thank all the creative and caring card writers! A special shout out to the many volunteers plus a big thank you to the organizing committee!

Valentine’s Day is not just about flowers and romantic cards, it’s about compassion, respect and honour for our friends and fellow human beings.

This year we delivered to the Sechelt Hospital, including the mental health building, home care services, ambulatory, medical imaging, OBYGN, all locums, et al., including cleaners, security and food service staff. Plus, four health clinics; two private clinics; long-term care facilities; two ophthalmology clinics; three dental clinics; two LifeLabs; three RainCity buildings; three ambulance buildings; two midwives; and also four fire halls! We are so sorry if we missed anyone!

We hope the new residents and especially the staff at Silverstone are settling into their new accommodation. Complete with a Valentine card to cheer their day.
